DOCKSIDE and France-Cambodia Research Days, 29-30 March 2018

DOCKSIDE Project will participate at the first edition of Journées de la Recherche France-Cambodge / France-Cambodia Research Days on the 29th and 30th March 2018

This event is organized by the French Embassy in Cambodia and the French Institute, in partnership with the universities and research institutions present in Cambodia. It aims to promote the development of research and scientific careers in Cambodia, will be held  in Phnom Penh at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC).

It intents to attract Cambodian students to the world of research for the benefit of the development of the country. They will highlight students and young researchers, their expectations, perspectives and opportunities.

Objectives:

• Meetings and networking between various actors (students, researchers, institutions, private sector).
• Raise public awareness of the research conducted by French actors in Cambodia with their Cambodian and international partners, and will discuss research contributions to the development of Cambodia.
• Support public decision makers, these days will provide a space for dialogue and exchange on the issues and challenges of research in Cambodia.

Open to :

Students and young researchers, actors of Higher Education and Research and public decision-makers. Also the socio-economic actors.

Around scientific presentations, conferences and round tables gathering political decision-makers and scientific experts, interactive events (exhibitions, stands, competitions, parallel workshop) will animate these days.

Languages of the interventions : The interventions will be made in French and in Khmer (simultaneous translation).

Dates and place : March 29th and 30th at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC)
