Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) is a leading administrative public institution in Cambodia, who plays vital role in educational programs associated with agriculture and related sectors for all levels. RUA was founded in 1964 under the monarch, King Norodom Sihanouk. RUA is technically supervised by Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries. It is academically accredited by Ministry of Education Youth and Sport. RUA, as the leading agricultural university in Cambodia, shall progressively achieve an international level of quality in education, research and extensions of agriculture, related sectors and sustainable use of natural resources. Contribute to the development of agriculture and related sectors along with the sustainable use of natural resources by providing higher education programs, research and extensions in line with national and international development issues and job market needs. RUA has ten faculties (Agronomy Science; Rubber Sciences; Animal Science; Veterinary Medicine; Forestry Science; Fisheries Science; Agricultural Engineering; Agricultural Economics and Rural Development; Agro-Industry; and Land Management and Land Administration) and one Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, two division, one department, ten centers and four offices. RUA offers associate degree, bachelor, master and doctoral education in agriculture and related field. The student composition are around 4,500 students of which 96% BSc. 3.5% MSc. and 0.5% PhD. RUA has around 150 full time officer, and then fulfilled by guest lecturer for the academic activities.

RUA research and educational direction focus on crop production, crop protection, soil fertility, animal feeding and production, public health, food processing and postharvest technology, agricultural engineering and appropriate technology, inland and outland fisheries, impact of agriculture on environment and vice versa, agricultural economics and marketing.
RUA has collaboration and partnership with 68 universities and institutions around the world including many of those in Asia (i.e. Thailand, Lao PDR, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, China, Japan, Korea, Israel) and Europe (i.e. Germany, Belgium, England, France, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Austria, Portugal).
