The representatives from the National University of Management,  Royal University of Agriculture,  Royal University of Law and Economics, University of Battambang and The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport are on their mission to observe how the Research, PhD and Master programmes are being developed in the European partner’s universities.

With the DOCKSIDE Project Coordinator, Professor Thomas Vallée and the Director of Research, Partnership and Innovation Department at the University of Nantes, Mr Sébastien Youinou.

 

The delegation will work extensively for 3 weeks at the University of Nantes, the University of Vigo and Southern Denmark University, the European partners of DOCKSIDE project.

This mobility will not be possible without the full support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

About the Mobility

An expert team of Cambodian university representative visit the EU partners for three weeks to learn good practices. The mission includes, but not limited to, observe how are being developed PhD and Master Programs. Following their visit in each of the EU partner universities, they should prepare a PhD and Master Courses Catalogue along with some recommendations on the development of Khmer PhD and Master Research-Based Programs.

A representative from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia is participating for the first week of the visit. The Cambodian Expert team are as follows :

A representative of University of Battambang, Ms Sieng Emtotim (Rector) and  Mr Seav Sovanna (Head of Research and Development Center).

A representative of the National University of Management, Dr Ly Sok Heng (Vice Rector) and Dr Kang Sovannara (Dean of Graduate School).

A representative of the Royal University of Agriculture, Dr Neang Malyne (Director of ECOLAND research centre) and Dr Chay Chim (Researcher and lecturer).

A representative of the Royal University of Law and Economics, Dr Prum Rithy (Deputy of Public Law Department, Member of Scientific Council) and Mr Thang Vong Sovityea (Researcher and lecturer).

Lastly, Mr Angkearoat, the Deputy Director General of Policy and Planning from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.

During their stay in Europe, Cambodian staff will discuss a potential Joint Master Degree between the three European and the four Cambodian Universities. Along with the visit, it must enable peer-to-peer interaction by mutual learning between the host universities and the guest. It must pass the opportunity to learn and get inspired by the PhD program/courses in EU Partners institutions in order to improve it in Cambodia, and eventually launch a joint Master or PhD program.

In early 2018, the European partners will come to Cambodia in order to finalize the report about a PhD and Master Courses catalogue and its administrative management.
